What is Messianic?

The word ‘Messianic’ is an adjective that means “of or pertaining to Messiah.” The overwhelming evidence of the Scriptures and history is that Yeshua (commonly known as “Jesus”) is the promised Messiah. Messianic Judaism is that branch of Judaism characterized by a belief in Yeshua as the promised Messiah of the Hebrew Scriptures. Messianic Jews tend toward a culturally Jewish lifestyle and witness, and generally congregate in Messianic Jewish congregations comprised of Jews and Gentiles united in Messiah.
